Turbos create boost by the thermal expansion of gas from the combustion chamber. As that exists and passes the turbine, it creates boost. The more heat that can be contained in the exhaust system before the turbo, the more efficient a turbo runs.
These thermal covers are designed specifically for a 1st Gen H1C. These will not only keep more heat in the turbine, but will also keep your under hood temperatures much lower. It is also fantastic for protecting your arms if working around a hot engine. We have run these covers for years on our high HP trucks as well and they also prevent things under the hood from being melted.
Be sure to combine the exhaust manifold cover with our turbo cover for maximum efficiency.
