The 4WD shifter on the 81-93 trucks has an upper and lower shift boot. The lower shift boot was a dual purpose boot – sealing water from entering the cab, and the thick rubber acting as a sound inhibitor. Over time, this rubber boot tended to tear and allow sound and water to enter the cab. The upper boot slid over top of this boot and was the cosmetic, “pretty” boot.
This lower boot has been unavailable for many years now but is now available again as a Mopar Authentic Restoration item, made identical to the original.
This fits both gas and diesel (NP241 and NP205).
