6am is here. We are loaded. We hit the road. A shot of how we rolled with dads 2018 3500
'
'
We got to the hotel and the crew got its official get the bugs off bath:
'
Underhood clean up too!
'
And then hit the road for its first drive. Lol Yes, I had dad follow in the event I got a mile and it crapped out. But it made it to the Cummins recreation park CERAland, and also to the plant:
'
And proof the truck drove into CERAland on its own!
'
This was the moment I parked at CERAland the truck got mobbed lol
'
And the required plant photo:

And the crew did the following day cruise up to Indianapolis. Was a nervous drive doing highway speed for the 1st time. But she made it up to 90 mph without issues! One of the stops on the TDR cruise was Indy speedway. Had to get pics as she made the hour drive from Columbus without incident:
'
And at the CMEP event, she was on display beside her ancestors. To the far left, is the prototype D001. That is the truck that showed Dodge a 6bt would fit. The center truck is D002. That was the first “official” mule truck for development. The thing with stacks I don’t need to explain. And if I do, go back to the start of this all to find out more on it. 😀
And for those wondering what it looks like inside, here is a video of it driving the first few miles:
'
Once home from the event, the truck got a few things tended to that were found during the break in runs in Indiana, and the ensuring weeks of shake down runs. All in all, the truck runs well although I am aiming for 1000 break in miles before leaning into the boost. I did run it up to about 30 psi and she sounds filthy. 😀 But I didn’t want to light the HT3B just yet.
One thing I did feel that needed to be done, was some glamour photos. So here they are of the final product:

So there you have it! The build was completed despite many times thinking it would never get there. Well, assuming you can ever call it complete. I already have some mods I want to do! From December 24, 2005- June 6, 2019 I can honestly say it has been a hell of a journey. The things that I have learnt. The people I have met. The truck that is no longer going to be my daily driver…. But it will see summer and nice weather use. It has been a blast doing this build and hearing everyone’s comments over the years (Yes, even those of you mocking me for taking so long and this thread not showing the end of the build. But I now got there!!). Sorry it has taken a year to get this all updated. With all the new forum formats the photos just would not post. I have been fighting with this for months in my little bit of free time. This build coverage is officially complete!
Oh but on that note….
I have been asked several times in the last year what I will do with all my free time. Well, you will never believe this. But sometimes a picture is worth 1000 or more words…. Maybe I need to start a new build thread….
😀

Let the fun, begin. Maybe I can get this build down to 10 years…. 😀
